He is a chef with a dreadful childhood, but great personality. But if I were to write all his childhood, it would take up this entire website. Read on if you what to find out more about him. Even though he was born in Scotland, he moved to England at the age of five. He had described his childhood as hopelessly intinerant as his family had moved constantly because of his father failed aspirations. In 1976, they had finally settled in Stratford-upon-Avon where he grew up. However, his childhood was still marked with abuse as his father was a violent man and his mother was a "mistress" of his father. As a result, he moved out into a flat in Banbury at the age of 16. Originally, Ramsay was a football player, tearing his ligaments and leg muscles a few times in a row. However, at this time, Ramsay's interest in cooking had already taken over him and he had rather be known as a junior chef instead of the football player with the gammy knee which he had always been. After weighing out his options, he attended Hotel Management at NOTU and then moved to London, where he was inspired to work for the temperamental Marco Pierre at Harvey's where he slowly worked towards his fame, from setting up his first restaurant, to joining a league of many well-known hotels in Las Vegas, to hosting his own television programmes as well as starring as guest stars along with James Oliver and Wolfgang puck, which gained him three Michelin stars, to finally being the "stinky-rich and infamous" fine-dining chef that I have always respected and liked.
